Now I Have a Samsung LN46A650 HDTV

Just turn on the Samsung LN46A650 and you'll see that it's a joy to have and use. When the TV is turned on you'll see a wizard which will ask you whether you're at home or in a store and suggest choosing a language. Then it scans for available channels, finds them, and, here you are, you can watch it.

On a remote control you will find a large Menu button. Obscuring a picture on the screen when clicking through options will not be an issue for you and that's one more advantage of this TV. For additional settings you should use another menu which is activated by the Tools button. The Source button on the remote is used to list and check all the HDTV's inputs (with active ones highlighted and at the top).

Despite its high-level usability, the model has some flaws. One of the annoyances is a necessity to find and turn off the Entertainment setting at the setup menu before you can change the sound mode. Another disadvantage is lacking a PIP button on the remote control which would allow watching two inputs at a time, though it is an in-built feature. Everything else is fine with the remote. Other settings like the aspect ratio, closed captioning, and picture modes are easily set right from the remote. One more thing that makes the remote usable is a jog wheel which replaced a typical circle of arrow buttons.

Samsung LN46A650 has a lot of features. An in-built USB port allows playing music and viewing photos right on the screen from any USB device. An Ethernet port at the rear allows to connect to Samsung's InfoLink RSS service to get latest sports, financial and other news from USA Today on your TV.

Samsung LN46A650 is a very good product on the TV market. Its awesome design and outstanding usability make it the right thing for those customers who pay attention to both form and function.

p.s. If you want to get some extra ($750) money for buying Samsung LN46A650 you can get a special Christmas gift card for FREE (participation required)!
